Instrument Rating
An Instrument Rating expands pilot privileges, increases safety, enhances navigation skills, and allows flight in adverse weather conditions.
Requirements
- Hold at least a Private Pilot Certificate
- 50 Hours Cross-Country as Pilot-in-Command
- 40 Hours Actual or Simulated Instrument Time
- 15 Hours Instrument Training with CFII
- One Cross-Country Flight ≥ 250 NM
- FAA Written Exam
- Checkride (Oral + Practical)
